May 21, 2015 | Microsoft is proud to announce WorldNet’s achievement of the SIP Trunk certification for Skype for Business, which ensures a complete integration with Microsoft unified communications’ solutions, combined with top tier security. WorldNet, a locally-owned telecommunications provider, became the first company worldwide to earn this certification, allowing interoperability between businesses’ data providers and Microsoft for any company moving to the cloud.

This alliance between the two companies provides organizations and government entities with a complete unified communications solution, combined with the security, expertise, and support that businesses require today. The powerful combination of WorldNet and Microsoft cloud solutions bolsters the foundation for business growth by streamlining and improving operations. The world is moving to cloud services as a quick way to provide competitive advantage.

Adopting a complete cloud solution allows businesses to collaborate across different locations and boost productivity, as result of facilities being able to operate and collaborate as one in a more secure network. Furthermore, this high-quality technology has scalable features organizations can add according to particular needs, for instance, to meet seasonal demand for products or services. It also increases the opportunity to add high, cutting-edge technology to the existing infrastructure; and provides a more stable service so businesses can operate flawlessly and without interruptions. In other words, this alliance translates into better quality of services and the security of the business data to make businesses more competitive.

“This alliance with Microsoft and WorldNet responds to our customers’ requests for reliable technology that can make their business more successful. Now businesses will be able to be more competitive by aligning their strategies with technologies that can help them drive their business forward,” said WorldNet’s CEO David Bogaty.

Integrating Skype for Business with WorldNet’s voice solutions enhances the client’s communication infrastructure with real-time communication tools that include instant messaging (chat), multimedia conferencing, presence information, and desktop sharing; all within a secure connection. Communicating over a secure connection protects a business’ most valuable asset, its sensitive information, such as: financial data, customer’s information, strategic plans, or any other data that could translate into business intelligence.

“Delivering timely, relevant and personal service to customers is crucial for communications service providers like WorldNet, who are looking for ways to attract and retain customers. At Microsoft, we offer our clients the tools for them to develop innovative technological initiatives. That’s why we are committed to investing heavily in our alliances with companies like WorldNet, to deliver world-class solutions and experiences that generate business value,” said Marco Casarín, general manager of Microsoft Puerto Rico.

Regarding WorldNet’s certification and its value for organizations, Mariloli Baragaño, marketing and operations lead of Microsoft Puerto Rico added: “We are proud that the first Skype for Business certified provider worldwide is a Puerto Rican company and we congratulate WorldNet for this achievement. When using Skype for Business, companies and government entities can count on the support of a Microsoft trusted partner and be certain that they’ll obtain the highest quality of service, also knowing that their confidential information is secured.”

Having WorldNet as a telecommunications provider backing up Microsoft’s solutions means that customers can now enjoy all the advantages of a unified communications platform with the certainty that video conferences and calls are of the highest quality, supported by a certified partner.
